‘Working Wonders’ Lead to Money-Saving, Quality-Improving Ideas

Have suggestions for improving patient care or saving hospital resources? Our Working Wonders program rewards employees for their ideas with cash awards.

We love hearing suggestions from our employees on how to save money, generate revenue or improve quality. Since the program’s inception in September 1996, we’ve received almost 5,000 employee ideas. Twenty percent of those ideas have been implemented over the years – saving the network over $12.5 million dollars.

Idea owners of approved Working Wonders submissions receive a cash reward, up to 10 percent of the savings for individuals and 15 percent for teams – which means more than $1.2 million dollars has been awarded to our employees. In addition to the cash reward, every employee who submits an idea receives a thank-you gift such as a calculator, thermos or mug. We also run special incentives throughout the year where employees who submit ideas can win prizes such as iPods, DVD players and computer accessories.

Just imagine the ideas you can bring to our network!
